Blue Recruitment Personnel is looking for a confident, motivated, and physically fit HGV 2 Driver to join our client's busy and expanding international removals team in Cambridgeshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a driving professional with hands-on experience in relocations who thrives in a dynamic, team-focused environment. This role is more than just driving; it involves being a key part of the move from start to finish.
Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of the company vehicle and ensure that client possessions are transported safely and efficiently.
- Drive and manage the complete journey from initial loading through to final delivery, maintaining exceptional standards throughout.
- Safe operation of Category C vehicles, ensuring all loads comply with road traffic legislation and vehicle operating limits.
- Actively assist with packing, loading, and unloading furniture and goods with care and attention to detail.
- Perform daily safety checks (oil, water, etc.) and maintain the vehicle in a clean, professional condition at all times.
- Adhere to the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and ISO9002 quality procedures, while maintaining your Driver CPC qualification.
- Manage all vehicle logs and delivery paperwork accurately, ensuring complete records for every journey.
- Oversee subordinates to ensure high standards are met and suggest improvements to the Operations Controller regarding loading efficiency.
Requirements
- A valid HGV 2 / Category C licence and an up-to-date CPC qualification are essential requirements.
- Proven background in removals or relocations is essential.
- Must be physically fit and capable of heavy lifting and handling furniture safely throughout long working days.
