Customs Manager – Dover, Kent

Salary: £50,000–£55,000 + bonus + benefits | Hours: Mon–Fri (flexible for 24/7 support)

What You’ll Do

• Lead a team of clerks across day & night shifts
• Ensure all import/export customs activity is accurate, compliant, and on time
• Provide technical guidance and oversee customs clearance processes
• Manage performance, appraisals, rotas, and complex people issues
• Collaborate with operations & sales to support growth
• Drive improvements in systems, tools, and ways of working

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience managing a customs function
• Strong technical knowledge of customs clearance & compliance
• Confident people manager, calm under pressure
• Comfortable in a 24/7 operational environment
• Forward-thinking, proactive, and commercially aware
