We are currently partnering with a growing and highly reputable residential childcare provider who is launching a brand‑new children’s home in Doncaster. As part of this expansion, they are seeking an experienced and committed Registered Manager to take full operational leadership of the service from inception. This is a genuine opportunity to shape and build a new home from the ground up, establishing a high‑quality, safe, and nurturing environment for young people with complex needs who require stability, structure, and consistent support.
The Role
- Overall operational leadership of the children’s home
- Recruitment, supervision, and development of the staff team
- Ensuring full compliance with Ofsted and safeguarding frameworks
- Oversight of care planning, risk assessments, and key documentation
- Managing rotas, staffing levels, and operational efficiency
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with local authorities, families, and external professionals
- Ensuring the home consistently delivers high standards of care and compliance
About You
This role would suit either:
- An experienced Registered Manager within children’s residential care
- A strong Deputy Manager ready to step up into a Registered Manager position
You will bring:
- Strong safeguarding knowledge and leadership capability
- Proven experience within residential childcare settings
- Solid understanding of Ofsted frameworks and inspection requirements
- The ability to build and lead a stable, high‑performing team
- A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it)
- Full UK driving licence
