Chrysalis Records/Blue Raincoat Music is a leading independent music company headquartered in London and New York. Along with our US partner Reservoir Media, we own the legendary Chrysalis and Tommy Boy catalogues, and we also represent artists through our management arm Blue Raincoat Artists, and publishing via Blue Raincoat Music Publishing.
We are seeking a Junior Project Coordinator to join our catalogue team to assist and coordinate projects for releases for the Chrysalis Catalogue label. Reporting direct to the Senior Project Manager you will create physical, digital and marketing assets in preparation for release, ensuring clear and accurate information pertaining to each project is kept up to date.
The role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Projects: Point of contact for each project, tracking progress and deadlines; Co‑coordinate new releases as determined by the Snr Project Manager; Discuss product development ideas, including manufacturing pricing, PPD/RRP of products with Snr Project Manager; Gain approval for costs for mastering, artwork and manufacturing from Snr Project Manager; Work with the appropriate marketing manager to prepare one sheet/sales note details, release assets for approval; Liaise with SVP Production & Physical Distribution for one sheet/sales notes solicitation; Prepare, along with the Snr Project Manager and SVP Production & Physical Distribution a timeline for the release.
- Audio: Liaise with Snr Project Manager for audio requirements, audio masters (lacquer cutting, CD DDPi, digital masters); Ensure audio is approved and signed off by artist/managers, Snr Project Manager; Review and gain approval from test pressings, CD DDPi’s and DSP.
- Artwork: Liaise with the Snr Project Manager for designers/costings, requirements and artwork design and product assets; Co‑coordinate photography clearances for project (physical product, PR, Promotional use etc) with Business affairs; Gain approvals/sign off with artists/managers and Snr Project Manager.
- Label Copy/Metadata: Prepare and co‑ordinate label copy and metadata information for the project; Deliver metadata to the Operations team for a timely setting up in internal and external systems.
- Production: Liaise with Snr Project Manager to prepare and approval for purchase orders; Monitor production timelines and inform marketing team of delivery dates and any potential delays; Check finished samples and approval from Snr. Project Manager.
- Marketing: Liaise with Marketing manager for any required assets needed from artwork and audio process (packshots, exploded packshots etc.).
In addition to the above, provide support and assistance to the Catalogue Team, overseeing promo stock, sending stock to artists/management, and ad‑hoc tasks.
Person Specification: Good understanding of the music industry and the catalogue area.
Qualifications: 2-3 years’ experience in similar role; Keen interest in catalogue music; Proactive approach to everyday tasks and ownership of the role; Excellent organisational skills; Immaculate attention to detail; IT literate (intermediate Excel skills are desirable); Excellent organisational, written and verbal skills.
