Blue Projects is currently seeking a highly qualified and experienced HSE Manager for an ongoing project in the United Kingdom, near Wrexham. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure the well-being of personnel and compliance with regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Relocating to different parts of the UK for varying durations to accommodate project needs (mostly NW UK).
- Develop, implement, and maintain health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures, and programs in alignment with local regulations, industry standards, and company objectives.
- Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and implement corrective measures to mitigate health, safety, and environmental risks.
- Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, contractors, and subcontractors on health, safety, and environmental matters, promoting a strong safety culture and adherence to best practices.
- Coordinate incident and accident investigations, analyzing root causes and implementing preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate closely with project stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and contractors, to ensure effective communication and coordination of health, safety, and environmental activities.
- Monitor and report on HSE performance metrics, trends, and compliance status, providing regular updates to project management and senior leadership.
- Conduct HSE training and awareness programs for personnel, ensuring understanding of policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Professional certification in HSE management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, ASP/CSP) is a must.
- Proven experience in HSE management, preferably in industrial construction projects or similar settings.
- Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Fluency in English.
