This is a brand new role within a growing UK organisation centred around providing services to young families. It’s part of the marketing team, responsible for creating local marketing plans and strategies for venues. These are often tactical marketing plans with a focus on local communities, ranging from multi-channel campaigns using highly targeted media to engaging with employers, community hubs, and businesses in the area to drive local brand awareness of the venue, generating new customer enquiries.

To be successful in this role, you should enjoy being out in the world, speaking with people, spotting patterns, and providing venue managers with practical ideas that make a measurable difference in attracting new customers. You will create workable marketing toolkits for local implementation.

What you will be doing:

  • Visiting sites across the UK, from Shropshire to London, sitting with venue managers to understand enquiry flow.
  • Figuring out what will help attract more families and turning interest into engagement and bookings.
  • Improving visibility in local areas through small-scale creative campaigns, partnerships, and community outreach.
  • Supporting open days and events, helping managers find and organise specialist partners.
  • Creating a network of experts for unique ideas.

What makes this interesting:

  • Freedom to experiment and fresh thinking is welcomed.
  • The organisation values practical recommendations tailored to local contexts.
  • You won’t be stuck behind a screen; you’ll travel and meet various people.
  • You’ll see the impact of your ideas first-hand and work with a central marketing team that appreciates field insights.

Who this suits:

  • Someone with a solid background in marketing who enjoys being on the ground rather than confined to an office.
  • Experience in Retail Marketing, Marketing/Brand Activation, Local Marketing, Shopper Marketing, or Field Marketing (B2C/D2C).
  • Experience delivering marketing campaigns for multi-site environments.
  • A person who can switch between creative problem solving and commercial reasoning.
  • Someone who likes meeting people and has the confidence to advise managers without a marketing background.
  • Organised, adaptable, and comfortable travelling across the UK each week.
  • A full UK driving licence is essential, as is the right to live and work in the UK.
