A modern, growing law firm is seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join its dynamic and collaborative team in Cumbria. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your practice, contribute to strategic growth, and work in a flexible, supportive environment.
About the Role
You will handle a variety of Private Client matters, building and managing your own caseload while working closely with the department head. This role combines hands-on legal work with opportunities to contribute to business development and client growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and deliver Private Client matters for a diverse client base
- Achieve individual billing and fee-earning targets
- Maintain accurate, compliant client files and records
- Identify and develop new fee-earning opportunities
- Collaborate across teams, cross-referring work where appropriate
- Support marketing and business development initiatives for the department
- Stay ahead of developments in Private Client law and practice
About You
You are a highly capable solicitor with strong Private Client experience and the drive to build and grow your own workload. You will ideally have:
- 5 years PQE in Private Client law
- STEP accreditation (preferred)
- Proven ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
- Strong commercial awareness and client-focused approach
- Leadership capability to supervise and mentor junior fee earners
