A modern, growing law firm is seeking an experienced Family Solicitor to join its dynamic and collaborative team in Cumbria. This is an exciting opportunity to build your practice, work closely with a supportive team, and contribute to the strategic growth of the department.

About the Role

You will handle a range of Family law matters, managing your own caseload while supporting the department head in achieving its strategic goals. This role offers a blend of hands-on legal work and opportunities to contribute to business development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Family law matters for a diverse client base
  • Achieve individual billing and fee-earning targets
  • Maintain accurate, compliant client files and records
  • Identify and develop new fee-earning opportunities
  • Collaborate across teams, cross-referring work where appropriate
  • Support departmental marketing and business development initiatives
  • Stay current with changes in Family law and practice

About You

You are a confident and experienced Family solicitor with the ability to manage your own workload independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

You will ideally have:

  • 5+ years PQE in Family law
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of the legal market
  • Ability to work independently and build your own caseload
  • Leadership capability to supervise and mentor junior fee earners
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset
