Who we need
We are looking for experienced lecturers from a Technology/STEM background to join our brand-new Step into STEM faculty. The people we need will have:
- The skills and enthusiasm to foster student confidence and the skills for further study
- The belief that will prepare our students for employment
- The commitment to embed the personal and social skills which transfer to the classroom and workshops, to create Future Ready students
- The ambition to enhance active learning and engagement through vocational, maths and English functional skills, tutorials and embedded enrichment and work experience opportunities
What you’ll bring
You will come from a technology background (e.g., Electrical, Engineering, Motor vehicle, Design and Digital skills) and have experience of alternative provisions, SEND settings, behavioural challenge and hard to reach learners. Other essential skills and experience include:
- To hold a recognised teaching qualification
- Experience of developing and implementing innovative and effective teaching strategies to support and challenge students
- Demonstrate a creative approach to teaching, learning and assessment
- Have a respectful and inclusive attitude to students and colleagues
- Able to work effectively as a member of a team
