As a Disrepair Surveyor, you will take the lead on resolving disrepair cases, working closely with experts, contractors, and legal representatives. Youll ensure repairs are assessed, specified, scheduled, and completed to the highest standards, reducing risk and improving customer satisfaction.
Key Duties
- Act as lead surveyor on disrepair cases, ensuring works are fully assessed, agreed, and accurately recorded.
- Provide technical reports, costings, measurements, and appraisals for a wide range of building defects.
- Undertake surveys, prepare schedules of work and specifications, and amend documents in line with service improvements.
- Monitor and supervise contractors, ensuring compliance with contracts, SLAs, and legal protocols.
- Work collaboratively with legal advisers, experts, residents, and internal/external agencies to mitigate risk and drive quality outcomes.
Skills and Experience:
- Ideally some experience in disrepair surveying (training available for the right candidate)
- Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills
- A proactive mindset and passion for delivering high-quality housing services
- The ability to interpret technical information, prepare detailed reports, and negotiate with multiple parties
