Role Overview

The Senior Learning Coach position supports students to achieve learning goals and qualifications, enhancing progression opportunities and life skills.

Salary & Hours

  • Full‐time: 36 hours per week, 40 weeks per year (term time only) – £26,124 to £28,505 per annum (Primarily Foundation Learning).
  • Part‐time (full time equivalent): 28 hours per week, 38 weeks per year (term time only) – £19,302 to £21,062 per annum (Primarily Aurora Department).
  • Full Time Equivalent salary ranges from £29,470 to £32,156 per annum.

Responsibilities

  • Assist students to succeed in achieving learning goals and qualifications.
  • Plan and deliver workshop sessions, learning and assessment for learners with learning disabilities/difficulties including autism and complex needs.
  • Support individual students' flexible needs and adapt to changing curriculum requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Recent experience of working with and supporting students aged 16‐25 with a range of needs.
  • Positive 'can‐do' attitude, enthusiastic personality, and effective communication skills at all levels.
  • High level of computer literacy.
  • Experience in a specialist school or college is advantageous.
  • Experience sourcing work‐experience placements for young people with additional needs is desirable.
