The Commercial Industries and Access School at Kingston College is now seeking a dynamic and inspiring Vocational Skills Assessor to assess learners on a variety of programmes across the School which may include Level 1, 2 and Level 3 in Barbering.
You will undertake assessments in the College salons and other practical areas including online testing, providing prompt and constructive feedback to candidates after the assessment and ensuring that a professional image is portrayed at all times. Ensuring a strong client base in the Commercial salons, you will ensure income targets are met and you will support the teaching teams and learners to work professionally and develop and achieve commercial, employability, enterprise and work skills.
As our Assessor, we would like you to hold professional qualifications with a reputed awarding body or recognised TDLB Assessor Awards (D32, D33) or TDLB new A1 Award for Assessors (or willing to work towards). You will have established recent experience within the Barbering industry either through a professional development file (CPD) or recent salon experience as a commercial master barber.
With NVQ 2 and 3 Barbering Qualifications, you will ideally hold an IV Award and Health and Safety Qualifications for work based visits. You will be an excellent communicator with good IT skills or a willingness to gain these.
