At Bright Futures, we believe every person with autism or a learning disability deserves the chance to thrive. We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Support Worker to join our specialist home in St Helens to provide high-quality care and life-enriching opportunities to the people we support.

Our St Helens residential service is a fully detached, five-bed home just a 10-minute walk from the town centre. It provides a calm, structured setting where five adults receive personalised 2:1 support, tailored to their individual needs and daily routines. The individuals we support are mostly non‐verbal and have a range of conditions, including autism, Down syndrome, and epilepsy. They enjoy varied activities such as sensory sessions, swimming, indoor skydiving at the Trafford Centre, community centre involvement, and college placements. Staff play an important role in offering encouragement, supporting engagement, and assisting individuals with all aspects of daily living, including personal care, so they can participate fully and comfortably in their routines.

As a Senior Support Worker, you'll combine hands‐on support with team leadership to make a real impact. You'll be a role model for best practice which will include guiding and motivating colleagues, supporting new staff through their induction, and ensuring our care meets the highest standards. Alongside your leadership responsibilities, you'll work directly with the people we support, supporting them in their day to day, planning meaningful activities, and keeping meticulous records.

  • £32,242.07 – £36,035.26 inclusive of one sleep per week

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Level 2 Adult Care Worker Qualification or equivalent is desirable (Adults only)
  • Previous experience in a care role in a senior/team leader/supervisory capacity
  • Be committed to continuous improvement of the home and the team
  • A passion for person‐centred care
  • Resilient and tenacious
  • Have a positive and proactive mindset
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence is preferred.

Safeguarding Requirement

Successful applicants will be required to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check. Satisfactory references are also required.
