Sales Director – UK & Ireland Energy Sector We’re partnering with a pioneering organisation operating at the forefront of infrastructure services to recruit a Senior Commercial Leader to take ownership of strategic growth and execution within the Ofgem/Distribution Network Operator (DNO) ecosystem across the UK and Ireland. This newly created leadership role is critical to the company’s continued expansion, focusing on revenue growth through deep stakeholder engagement, market insight, and sales strategy. The ideal candidate will bring proven, commercial leadership within utilities, DNOs, or telecoms and be highly effective navigating both strategic and operational demands. Key Responsibilities * Commercial Strategy: Drive the development and execution of the UK&I sales strategy across the DNO landscape. * C-Suite Collaboration: Work closely with the executive leadership team to ensure alignment between commercial activities and broader company objectives. * Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain high-impact relationships with decision-makers within DNOs and the wider Ofgem-regulated market. * Sales Development: Identify and capitalise on new commercial opportunities within existing networks to leverage growth. * On-Site Leadership: Deliver field demonstrations and manage direct contract negotiations with senior DNO representatives, ensuring full adherence to industry safety standards. * Market Intelligence: Continuously analyse market trends, customer requirements, and competitor movements to inform strategy. * Performance Management: Define and monitor KPIs to ensure delivery against revenue and strategic targets. * Board Reporting: Provide regular reporting on performance, risks, opportunities, and commercial outlook to the Board of Directors. Candidate Profile * Significant senior-level experience in commercial leadership roles, ideally within the DNO, utilities, or adjacent telecoms infrastructure sectors. * A strong network within Ofgem-regulated businesses or demonstrable experience navigating complex public/private sector stakeholder landscapes. * Strong strategic thinker with an ability to deliver hands-on results in a dynamic, growth-focused environment. * Exceptional relationship-building, influencing, and contract negotiation skills. * Comfortable in both board-level environments and field-based execution. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with gravitas and credibility.
