Operations Manager – Energy Sector We are looking for a skilled and driven Operations Manager to support and lead field-based activities across our contracts in the energy sector. Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring safe, efficient, and high-performing operations. You’ll manage a team of regional project managers, each overseeing survey and installation teams, and will be central to driving quality, compliance, and operational improvements. Key Responsibilities: * Ensure the safe and compliant delivery of installation projects across multiple geographic regions. * Coordinate with principal contractors on programme scheduling, safety performance, and productivity metrics. * Oversee tooling and transport, including maintenance, servicing schedules, and inventory control. * Deliver regular internal and client-facing performance reports, covering progress, metrics, and forecasts. * Lead internal audits in partnership with safety teams, tracking findings and implementing improvement measures. * Manage technical support staff, conducting regular performance reviews and ensuring responsibilities are met. * Plan and deliver operational training sessions focused on safety, procedures, and product-specific techniques. * Conduct safety and operational investigations, working with safety leads to identify root causes and implement corrective actions. * Maintain communication with stakeholders, providing updates on key risks, actions, and project progress. Performance & Compliance Monitoring: * Prepare monthly reports summarising training outcomes, audit compliance rates, and productivity metrics. * Track and manage KPIs including: * Improved safety performance and audit compliance. * On-time delivery of contract milestones. * Reduced tooling and vehicle downtime. * Efficient use of budget across fleet, tooling, PPE, and staffing resources. * Active participation in client and internal review meetings. What We’re Looking For: * Experience in operations management, preferably in the energy or utilities sector. * Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage remote, multi-disciplinary teams. * Sound understanding of health and safety, asset and budget management, and operational reporting. * Proven ability to work with external contractors and internal stakeholders to drive project success.
