About the Role
As an Experienced Server, you will play an integral role in delivering outstanding hospitality to every guest who walks through our doors.
You will provide knowledgeable, attentive and engaging service while creating memorable dining experiences in a fast-paced live music environment.
Working closely with the management, bar and kitchen teams, you will ensure every table receives seamless service before, during and after performances.
Whether welcoming first-time visitors or returning regulars, you'll be passionate about creating an experience that keeps guests coming back.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver warm, genuine and professional service from the moment guests are seated until they depart.
- Build rapport with guests and create memorable dining experiences through friendly, attentive hospitality.
- Demonstrate an excellent understanding of the food and beverage menus, confidently answering questions and making recommendations.
- Guide guests through wine, cocktail and food selections, upselling where appropriate to enhance the guest experience.
- Accurately take food and beverage orders using the venue's POS system.
- Ensure all orders are communicated clearly to the kitchen and bar teams.
- Maintain exceptional table service throughout each performance, anticipating guest needs before they arise.
- Monitor tables proactively, ensuring drinks are replenished, plates are cleared promptly and guests remain well looked after.
- Work closely with Food Runners and Bussers to ensure efficient food delivery and table maintenance.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including table preparation, polishing glassware and maintaining service stations.
- Ensure dining areas remain clean, organised and beautifully presented throughout service.
- Handle guest concerns professionally, escalating issues to management when required.
- Maintain an excellent understanding of allergens and dietary requirements, ensuring all guest requests are communicated accurately.
- Follow all food safety, health & safety and licensing regulations.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across all departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Support private events, VIP experiences and special performances as required.
- Consistently represent the Blue Note brand with professionalism, enthusiasm and attention to detail.

You will have
- Previous experience as a Server or Waiter/Waitress within a premium restaurant, hotel or hospitality venue.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A confident, positive and professional approach to guest interaction.
- Strong food and beverage knowledge, with a willingness to continue learning.
- The ability to remain calm and organised during busy services.
- Excellent teamwork skills and a collaborative attitude.
- A high level of attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
- The legal right to work in the UK.
