We're looking for enthusiastic, hardworking and ambitious Commis Chefs who are passionate about food and eager to develop their culinary careers within a supportive, professional kitchen.
This is a fantastic opportunity to learn from experienced chefs while contributing to one of London's most exciting new hospitality openings.
About the Role
As a Commis Chef, you will support the kitchen brigade with food preparation, mise en place and service while developing your technical skills in a fast-paced, premium hospitality environment.
Working alongside the Head Chef, Sous Chefs and Chef de Parties, you will assist in producing exceptional dishes while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety and organisation.
This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their career within a professional kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and mise en place to support daily kitchen operations.
- Assist senior chefs with food preparation and cooking during service.
- Learn and follow Blue Note recipes, specifications and presentation standards.
- Ensure ingredients are prepared accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe workstation throughout each shift.
- Assist with receiving, checking and storing deliveries.
- Rotate stock correctly using FIFO procedures and minimise food waste.
- Label and store food correctly in accordance with HACCP requirements.
- Support Chef de Parties during busy services by preparing ingredients and replenishing stock.
- Ensure all equipment is cleaned and maintained correctly.
- Follow all food hygiene, health & safety and allergen procedures.
- Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties.
- Communicate effectively with the wider kitchen team throughout service.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn new techniques and continuously develop your skills.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties required to support the kitchen operation.

- Previous kitchen experience is preferred but not essential.
