Blue Note, one of the world's most celebrated live music venues, is opening its first London home in Covent Garden.

We're looking for organised, guest-focused individuals to join our opening Box Office team and help deliver an outstanding ticketing and guest experience for every performance.

About the Role

As a Box Office Assistant, you will be responsible for managing ticket sales, guest enquiries and event administration while providing exceptional customer service before, during and after every performance.

Working closely with the Ticket Taker, Management and Production teams, you'll ensure every guest's booking journey is smooth and efficient, from purchasing tickets through to arrival at the venue.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process ticket sales accurately using the venue's ticketing system.
  • Assist guests with ticket purchases, exchanges, upgrades and general enquiries.
  • Manage will-call collections and guest lists.
  • Support VIP bookings, artist allocations and special event ticketing.
  • Resolve ticketing issues professionally and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of ticket sales and guest information.
  • Prepare daily sales reports and reconcile transactions where required.
  • Coordinate with the Door Host team to ensure smooth guest admissions.
  • Communicate event updates and operational information to guests.
  • Provide information regarding performances, seating arrangements, accessibility and venue facilities.
  • Assist with telephone and email enquiries professionally and promptly.
  • Ensure the Box Office remains organised, presentable and welcoming.
  • Support Management with administrative duties relating to ticketing and events.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer information in accordance with GDPR requirements.
  • Represent the Blue Note brand with professionalism and exceptional customer service at all times.

Skills & Experience

We're looking for someone who combines excellent customer service with strong organisational skills.

You'll have

  • Previous experience in a Box Office, ticketing, hospitality, events or customer service role is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong administrative and organisational abilities.
  • Confidence using computer systems and ticketing software.
  • High attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • A positive, solution-focused attitude.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
  • The legal right to work in the UK.
