Blue Note London is seeking hardworking and reliable Kitchen Porters to join our opening kitchen team. This is a vital role within the operation, ensuring the kitchen remains clean, organised and fully equipped so our chefs can deliver exceptional food and service every day., As a Kitchen Porter, you will play an essential role in maintaining the cleanliness, organisation and efficiency of the kitchen. You'll support the chefs by ensuring equipment, utensils and work areas remain spotless while helping deliveries, waste management and general kitchen organisation.,
- Wash and sanitise crockery, glassware, cutlery, cookware and kitchen equipment throughout service.
- Maintain exceptional cleanliness throughout all kitchen and back-of-house areas.
- Assist with receiving, checking and storing deliveries.
- Remove waste and recycling safely and efficiently throughout each shift.
- Ensure all refuse areas remain clean, organised and compliant with health & safety standards.
- Support chefs by transporting ingredients, equipment and stock as required.
- Keep walk-in fridges, freezers and storage areas clean and organised.
- Clean floors, walls, work surfaces and kitchen equipment according to daily cleaning schedules.
- Assist with basic food preparation where appropriate.
- Report equipment faults or maintenance issues promptly.
- Ensure all cleaning chemicals are used and stored safely.
- Follow all food safety, health & safety and COSHH procedures.
- Support opening and closing duties.
- Assist the wider kitchen team wherever required to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a supportive team environment.
We're looking for dependable, hardworking individuals with a positive attitude., Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter is preferred but not essential. - Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.
- Physical ability to undertake manual handling duties.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
- The legal right to work in the UK.
Salary: £14.00 per hour + tronc
