About the Role Blue Note London โ a live music venue and restaurant in the heart of Covent Garden โ is seeking an experienced, detail-driven Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day finance for the business. You will own reconciliations, ledgers, payroll, VAT, and reporting, working closely with senior management to keep the venueโs finances accurate, timely, and well organised. This is a hands-on role with significant growth opportunities for someone who works well with numbers and thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Responsibilities Daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations Daily journal entries Income and expenditure analysis Stock procedures and analysis Loss and cost control Performance analysis and reconciliations Investor reporting Year-end accounts preparation and support for tax filings Quarterly VAT returns and monthly tax and PAYE reporting Payroll processing and analysis Accounts payable and receivable (purchase and sales ledgers) General ledger (GL) maintenance Skills hospitality or restaurant experience an advantage Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word (essential) Experience with accounting software โ QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage; hospitality back-office systems a plus Strong numeracy and analytical skills Highly organised, with strong attention to detail Reports directly to senior management Salary
