Blue Mountain Homes is an established but progressive company, operating residential children's homes and independent schools across the UK. Since 2002 we have been "reaching out and changing lives", expanding into areas of need. We are looking for dynamic youth mentors who have a desire to engage, guide and bring a positive influence in the lives of the young people in our care. Training will be provided, but the most important quality we are looking for is a commitment to bring about a positive change in the lives of young people.
Responsibilities:
- Help create a positive environment for each young person, with particular reference to their safety, health and education.
- Carry the home's ethos and values through to the young people and represent Blue Mountain Homes professionally.
- Maintain good professional practices in accordance with Ofsted Regulations and the Quality Care Standards for children's homes.
- Engage in the effective delivery of residential childcare in accordance with company policies.
Our normal shift patterns are on a rolling rota basis. Working hours are 07:30 am–10:30 pm per shift, which means days of working can vary from week to week. Sleep-in shifts are required. All applicants must have a valid manual UK/EU driving licence.
Salary and Benefits:
- Salary up to £36,232* per year (£14.00–£14.65 per hour, £60 per sleep). Salary depends on qualifications and the undertaking of 3–8 sleeps per month.

Requirements:
- Level 3 Diploma in Children's Residential Care (required)
- Residential child care experience: 1 year (preferred)
- Manual driver's licence (required)
- United Kingdom work authorisation (required)
