THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for a junior-level CAD Engineer to join our Stirling, Scotland office.
This is an exciting opportunity for an organised and proactive individual with strong Auto CAD and Revit experience to support the design and delivery of high-quality moveable wall systems across a variety of projects throughout Scotland and the wider UK.
Working closely with Project Managers, Directors, manufacturers and installation teams, you will be responsible for producing accurate technical drawings, coordinating project documentation, and supporting projects through every stage from design through to handover.
THE ROLE
As CAD Engineer, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of projects from initial design through to completion.
You will be responsible for producing and managing technical drawings, coordinating project information, and ensuring all documentation is accurate, compliant and delivered on time.
The role requires excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects within a fast-paced construction environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Produce accurate Auto CAD drawings and Revit models for client approval, manufacture and installation.
- Update and revise drawings throughout project stages, ensuring all amendments are accurately reflected.
- Interpret architectural, structural and MEP drawings to create practical technical solutions.
- Support BIM coordination and model development where required.
- Prepare technical submittals and upload documentation to online portals including Procore.
- Coordinate drawing releases and technical documentation with manufacturers and suppliers.
- Monitor project progress and maintain organised project records and documentation.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, manufacturers and internal departments to resolve technical queries.
- Provide technical support during installation phases, including responding to site queries.
- Carry out quality checks on drawings and technical information prior to issue or release.
- Maintain accurate filing systems in line with company procedures and compliance requirements.
- Support colleagues and contribute to team meetings and design discussions.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Proven experience using Auto CAD and/or Revit within a construction or architectural environment.
- Good understanding of BIM processes and technical documentation.
- Strong knowledge of construction detailing and building methods.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work to deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Teams and Excel.
- Ability to problem solve and work proactively within a team environment.
- Understanding of building regulations, health & safety requirements and industry standards.
- Experience using online document management systems such as Procore is advantageous however not essential.
- Knowledge of fixing systems and construction suppliers would be beneficial
