THE OPPORTUNITY
We are actively searching for an experienced Specification Sales Manager to increase specification, brand awareness, revenue and market share across the Midlands / North region.
This is an opportunity to become a trusted partner to the architectural and design community, influence exciting projects from concept stage through to completion, and play a key role in expanding Style’s presence within the market.
From delivering CPD presentations and advising on technical specifications, to developing key accounts and securing project opportunities, you’ll be at the forefront of some of the most exciting developments across the built environment.
Working alongside a highly experienced team, you’ll have the autonomy to develop your region, build long-term partnerships and make a genuine impact on the continued success of the business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Increasing specification activity, brand awareness, revenue and market share across your region.
- Building and developing relationships within the architectural and design community.
- Assisting architects with project-specific requirements and providing technical guidance.
- Delivering engaging CPD presentations and product demonstrations.
- Generating project specifications and influencing opportunities from the earliest stages of the design process.
- Managing and developing key accounts.
- Hosting showroom visits and client presentations.
- Working closely with contractors, consultants and end users throughout the project lifecycle.
- Leading commercial discussions, negotiations and securing orders.
- Maintaining excellent product knowledge and keeping up to date with market developments.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver the Group’s sales strategy.
- Acting as a passionate ambassador for the Style brand.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- A proven track record of successful sales within the Architectural & Design (A&D) environment.
- A strong understanding of specification sales and project-led business development.
- Technical building knowledge combined with excellent attention to detail.
- A good understanding of the RIBA Plan of Work and the key influencers involved throughout the sales process.
- Excellent communication skills, including interpersonal, listening, written and verbal communication.
- The ability to build credibility and influence decision-makers at all levels.
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
- The ability to problem solve, think on your feet and identify practical solutions for clients.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach with a passion for delivering results.
