THE COMPANY Brand Energy & Infrastructure Services provide scaffolding and access services to the global industrial, commercial and energy sectors. JOB PURPOSE * As the Head of Commercial for the International Division, you will play a pivotal leadership role driving the commercial strategy across our diverse international business. * You will play a key role in setting and implementing the commercial strategy across our business streams, implementing robust processes and contractual framework as well as functional oversight of operational commercial performance. * This includes overseeing dispute avoidance and resolution, Risk Mitigation, optimising tender and pre-contract processes, and ensuring commercial agreements adhere to a high standard of clarity. * You will collaborate closely with legal, operational, and business development teams to align commercial practices with corporate objectives and deliver exceptional value to stakeholders. KEY PRIORITIES * Develop and implement a comprehensive commercial strategy that supports the International Division’s growth and operational objectives. * Support the International business units in negotiating commercial terms on key projects that minimise risk and maximise opportunity. * Design and implement streamlined and effective tender and pre-contract processes. * Act as a key liaison between the International Division, legal counsel, and operational teams to align commercial practices with organizational priorities. * Set and implement Commercial Management Framework to ensure our operational delivery teams maximise our commercial performance. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Establish and maintain procedures to ensure all contract agreements include concise and the appropriate risk mitigation conditions which maximise profitability. * Monitor emerging risks in International markets and adjust commercial strategies accordingly. * Lead efforts to proactively identify potential areas of conflict or disputes in contracts and business relationships. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to draft and review proposals, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and risk tolerances. * Support business development teams in structuring commercial terms that balance competitiveness with risk mitigation. * Ensure tender submissions reflect a thorough understanding of contractual requirements and scope of works. * Develop and implement dispute avoidance strategies, fostering positive and transparent communication with stakeholders. * Oversee dispute resolution processes for commercial disputes, ensuring efficient and cost-effective outcomes. * Support our delivery teams with all commercial matters DIMENSIONS * Line management report to Project Controls Director – International. * Develop an understanding of our regional businesses, product offerings and markets we serve. * Develop strong relationships with Regional Managers / functional support functions such as Finance, Legal, Human Resources, Supply Chain etc. EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES * Experience in driving the commercial strategy across large diverse businesses. * Experience working within the industrial services, infrastructure, energy sectors (or similar) would be advantageous. * Strong contractual management experience. * Flexible and willing to travel as and when required ADDITIONAL INFORMATION * Ideal base location(s): Birmingham, Birmingham, London however can be flexible within reason. * Travel: Regular UK travel and occasional International travel therefore must be flexible and willing to travel. * Remuneration: Highly competitive base salary complimented by excellent company benefits
