The Role
We're looking for a driven Business Development professional to take our apprenticeship offer to market, build employer partnerships, and generate consistent learner starts. This is not a passive sales role - you'll own the pipeline, shape employer relationships, and position Blue Lion as the go-to provider for high-quality apprenticeships.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and win new employer partnerships across the UK
- Promote apprenticeship programmes (L3-L6) aligned to employer needs
- Generate leads through outreach, networking, and events
- Convert opportunities into signed apprenticeship agreements
- Work closely with delivery teams to align recruitment with capacity
- Represent Blue Lion in a professional, credible, and consultative manner
- Maintain a strong presence in the Derby office as part of the core team
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or employer engagement
- Experience in apprenticeships, training, or education (highly desirable)
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
