The Role

We’re looking for a driven Business Development professional to take our apprenticeship offer to market, build employer partnerships, and generate consistent learner starts. This is not a passive sales role—you’ll own the pipeline, shape employer relationships, and position Blue Lion as the go‑to provider for high‑quality apprenticeships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and win new employer partnerships across the UK
  • Promote apprenticeship programmes (L3–L6) aligned to employer needs
  • Generate leads through outreach, networking, and events
  • Convert opportunities into signed apprenticeship agreements
  • Work closely with delivery teams to align recruitment with capacity
  • Represent Blue Lion in a professional, credible, and consultative manner
  • Maintain a strong presence in the Derby office as part of the core team

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or employer engagement
  • Experience in apprenticeships, training, or education (highly desirable)
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
