Blue Light Card is becoming an AI-native organisation, and this role is about making that change land with people, not just on paper. If you're energised by shifting how humans think and work, not by rolling out technology, this is for you.

You’ll sit within the People function, reporting to the Chief People Officer, with a dotted line to the Strategy Director for AI Adoption. The three-phase model is already moving: Inform foundations are live, and you’ll drive Engage and Embed from here. What that means in practice is building the things that make new ways of working stick - not training tools but building confidence in working in an AI enabled way - tied to real job tasks, a Champions Network that spots and tests genuine use cases, peer-led mechanics, and a measurement framework that tells an honest story about what’s changing.

This is a fixed-term contract of up to 12 months.

What You’ll Do

• Own and drive BLC's AI adoption programme across the Inform, Engage, and Embed phases, building on live foundations and working with the Head of Learning and Engagement to take them further
• Design role-specific learning pathways and live and async content that connect AI tools to real job tasks, not generic awareness sessions
• Design every intervention to embed and sustain, keeping the focus on behaviours and everyday ways of working rather than tool familiarity alone
• Support the AI Champions Network, their selection, onboarding, community infrastructure, and ongoing enablement
• Use your creativity to design and delivery peer-led learning mechanics such as Sprint Weeks and Hacks tracking adoption signals including time recovered, weekly active users, and workflows in use
• Agree delivery milestones with the Strategy Director, build a measurement framework tracking adoption and business impact, and report regularly to the CPeO on progress and blockers

What You’ll Bring

• Proven experience owning and delivering a large-scale AI adoption, digital adoption, or organisation-wide behaviour change programme, not just contributing to one
• A strong background designing and delivering enablement programmes that drive lasting behaviour change, not one-off learning events
• Solid change management capability, with a track record of bringing people on a journey, shifting everyday ways of working, and making the change stick
• Experience building and running peer-led learning communities or champion networks.
• Comfortable working across all levels and functions, from front-line teams to senior leadership, and able to translate technical concepts into clear, practical language
• Experience defining and owning success metrics, not just reporting against them
• Hands-on fluency with enterprise AI tools such as Claude, and with prompt engineering or AI workflow design, to a level that allows you to evaluate what is practical and hold technically credible conversations with teams
• Experience with instructional design tools or LMS platforms is a bonus but not essential for every candidate
