The Role and the Team
Retail Media is one of BLC's biggest strategic bets. Having built a retail media proposition from the ground up, the business is now investing seriously in scaling it, and this role sits right at the heart of that ambition. As Retail Media Senior Program Manager, you'll work as the right-hand person to the Retail Media Director, partnering across Product, Engineering, Data, Commercial, Partnerships and Legal to drive delivery of a complex, cross-functional transformation roadmap. This is a newly created role in an emerging team, which means real scope to shape how the function operates and genuine influence over outcomes that matter to the business. The role calls for someone equally comfortable setting strategic direction and rolling up their sleeves to make things happen; this is not a role for someone who manages from a distance. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract at a pivotal moment for BLC Media.
What You’ll Do
- Drive cross-functional alignment and momentum across Retail Media, Product, Engineering, Data, Commercial and Partnerships, ensuring strategic priorities translate into operational execution and that progress is made to clear deadlines across all levels of the business.
- Own and lead a portfolio of high-impact strategic projects end-to-end, spanning areas such as pricing and rate card development, measurement and reporting frameworks, and new product and proposition work.
- Own programme governance, visibility and milestone delivery across the Retail Media transformation roadmap, building operating rhythms and frameworks that create efficiency without over-engineering the process.
- Produce high-quality programme communications and updates for senior stakeholders, maintaining clarity on progress, risks and decisions across a broad stakeholder group.
- Anticipate risks, blockers and dependencies early, proactively driving resolution and escalation where needed to keep delivery on track, and identifying new potential opportunities for prioritisation.
- Design and evolve scalable ways of working that support effective collaboration across Retail Media and its partner teams, including smarter use of AI tooling to make governance more efficient.
- Contribute to the evolution of BLC Media's operating model, bringing strategic thinking and rigour to an area that is still being built.
What You’ll Bring
- An established background in Program or Project Management at a senior level, with a track record of owning and shaping large-scale or transformational initiatives across cross-functional environments.
- An entrepreneurial mindset and strong sense of agency, able to set direction, build alignment and keep teams moving collectively towards shared outcomes without waiting to be directed.
- Demonstrated experience driving delivery across Product, Engineering, Data or Commercial functions, personally owning outcomes end-to-end with enough understanding of technical teams and dependencies to bring people along.
- A track record of operating in start-up or scale-up environments, comfortable creating structure and momentum in ambiguous situations where processes and ways of working are still being defined.
- Demonstrated experience owning commercially-focused outcomes, where your work has had a direct and measurable impact on revenue, client or partner spend, or commercial growth, rather than purely system delivery or process implementation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce board-quality updates, operational plans and programme reporting.
- Comfortable using data, dashboards and programme tooling to drive decisions, and fluent enough with AI to apply it practically to improve delivery speed and quality.
- Experience within Retail Media, AdTech, Media or a high-growth digital business would be a bonus, but is not essential.
