Blue Legal are partnered with a leading International law firm who are recruiting for a Pitch Manager to join their London office. The Pitch Manager works closely with the Director of Business Development and Partners to support pitches across all practice groups, including panel RFPs. As a key day-to-day resource for pitches and proposals, the Pitch Manager is responsible for developing the pitch strategies, shaping compelling proposals and improving processes to maximise success rates. They will also coordinate projects and lead the implementation of pitch frameworks, ensuring alignment with the Firm’s key strategic priorities and supporting consistent, growth-driven outcomes.
The Responsibilities:
- Manage and take ownership of end-to-end best practice pitch process across the Europe CDE team
- Lead high-profile pitches and panel submissions
- Support Partners in developing best-in-class pitches and RFP responses to secure new business opportunities
- Develop tailored, client-focused content and messaging, providing guidance on structure, format and strategic positioning
- Maintain a high-quality pitches and proposals content library, ensuring all materials remain current and best-in-class
- Track all pitches and RFP responses to assess pipeline activity, analyse win/loss data and trends by client type, practice, industry and geography, and report insights to the Director of Business Development
- Collaborate with the research team to gather intelligence on clients, targets, markets, and industry trends to strengthen pitch content
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality and overall effectiveness
- Support additional projects and initiatives as assigned by the Director of Business Development
The Candidate:
- Educated to degree level
- Minimum 3 to 4 years of relevant experience in a similar role within a law firm or professional services environment, particularly supporting transactional practices
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and persuasively both verbally and in writing
- Proven ability to cultivate and manage client relationships
- Strong initiative and independent judgment in decision-making
- Team-oriented mindset, with capability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills, maintaining professionalism, diplomacy and discretion in all interactions
- Confidence and credibility to advise at Partner level, ensuring strategic alignment and securing project buy-in
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to proactively identify challenges, develop solutions, and drive results
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Strong project management and organisational abilities, with proven capacity to prioritise, balance competing demands, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Adaptability and flexibility, including willingness to work varied hours as needed
- Composure under pressure, with sound decision-making capabilities
- Proactive approach to responsibilities, including a willingness to take on additional tasks as required
