The Responsibilities:
- Draft and manage external announcements, including partner hires, financial results, and strategic updates.
- Oversee media engagement and address issues with the support of a PR agency.
- Coordinate crisis communications in collaboration with internal communications.
- Draft and edit strategic communications for external audiences and manage the firm’s awards programme.
- Implement profile-raising initiatives aligned with practice group priorities.
- Identify PR opportunities through news monitoring and collaborate with fee earners to develop stories.
- Build and maintain relationships with key media contacts to secure coverage.
- Draft press releases, articles, and media briefings with support from the PR team.
- Prepare partners for media interviews and provide PR guidance and training.
- Report PR activities to senior management and support award submissions and social media campaigns.
The Candidate:
- Proven PR experience in professional services or a PR agency with exposure to UK media.
- Strong relationship-building skills with internal stakeholders and external journalists.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including media relations and copywriting.
- Attention to detail, sound judgment, and ability to perform under pressure.
- Strong project management skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
