Blue Legal are partnering with a leading global law firm who are recruiting for a Marketing and Business Development Manager for one of their key practice groups on a 12 month FTC to join their London office. The role involves collaborating with sector support teams and contributing to other firmwide marketing and business development initiatives as needed.
The Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute marketing strategies to enhance the visibility of the practice group.
- Support business development by identifying opportunities, assisting lawyers, and executing approved plans and proposals, including RFP responses.
- Lead key campaigns such as the group’s annual “Emerging Themes” initiative and manage marketing-related events and presentations.
- Coordinate the seamless integration of lateral hires and ensure alignment across departments.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the financial services industry and conduct competitive intelligence and marketing research.
- Produce and distribute external communications including newsletters, client alerts, and mailing lists.
- Assist practice group leaders with planning and budgeting, and support broader firmwide initiatives as needed.
The Candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, PR, Administration, or a related field, with at least five years of marketing or public relations experience in a professional services environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to interact professionally at all levels and diplomatically seek clarity or information when needed.
- Skilled in project management, budgeting, organisation, and planning; proficient in Microsoft Office tools and comfortable working in a web-based environment.
- Demonstrates initiative, flexibility, creativity, and customer/client focus; able to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and adapt to changing demands.
