A leading commercial international law firm is looking for a Senior PR & External Communications Manager to join their London office. The successful candidate will support in developing measurable PR plans and broader external communications, to support the firm's sectors and overall strategy. This role works closely with the Internal Communications and broader Marketing team, reporting into the Head of Marketing Communications.

The Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Head of Marketing Services to improve processes across all PR & Communications activity
  • Work closely with Internal Communications colleagues to develop and deliver multi-channel communications campaigns
  • Stay updated on news developments for the firm to exploit and achieve defined business goals
  • Management of negative PR to reduce business impact
  • Take ownership of media relations activity for target media, and maintain good relations with critical journalists
  • Manage the firm's relations with PR agencies and conducting tender processes as required
  • Assist with copywriting and copyediting to ensure content is consistent, liaising with production team where relevant
  • Line manage and develop Senior PR Executive

The Candidate:

  • Previous experience working within a legal/professional services firm
  • Ideally strong existing relationships with key target media
  • Excellent editorial and writing skills
