Blue Legal is partnering with a leading international law firm to recruit a Senior Business Development Manager to support its global Corporate practice group. This is a senior and highly visible role, working closely with partners and business development colleagues to drive strategic growth initiatives, client development programmes and profile-raising activity across the practice. The successful candidate will lead the planning and delivery of integrated business development strategies, ensuring activity is aligned with the firm’s wider objectives and commercial priorities.
Please note that candidates will only be considered if they have previous business development experience within a law firm or professional services environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Business Development team supporting the Corporate practice group, ensuring effective delivery of strategic initiatives.
- Manage business planning and budgets, aligning activity with the group’s growth objectives and wider firm strategy.
- Oversee and enhance business development processes, infrastructure and reporting to support operational effectiveness.
- Partner with lawyers and stakeholders on pitches, proposals and pursuit strategies, from planning through to submission.
- Develop and deliver targeted campaigns, events and profile-raising initiatives that strengthen market presence and client engagement.
- Drive client targeting and relationship development programmes, identifying opportunities for growth and cross-selling.
- Coordinate communications, PR activity, legal directory submissions and award entries to enhance the practice’s market profile.
Candidate
- Significant business development and marketing experience within a law firm or professional services environment.
- Proven experience supporting practice groups, managing pitches, campaigns and strategic client development initiatives.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate strategy into measurable business outcomes.
