Data Analyst within the Business Development team, you will play a key role in managing and analysing data, improving reporting processes and automating insights to support strategic decision-making.

Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you will help identify trends, opportunities and efficiencies that contribute to the firm's wider growth objectives.

We are looking for a data-focused and analytical professional who can work confidently with complex datasets while also understanding the wider business requirements behind the data.

You will be comfortable working collaboratively with different teams, translating business requirements into practical reporting solutions and presenting your findings clearly to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, organise and manage data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy, consistency and reliability.
  • Work closely with the Operations and Planning teams to understand data analytics, reporting and process mapping requirements.
  • Analyse datasets to identify trends, insights, opportunities and quick wins that can support business decision-making.
  • Work with internal teams to identify appropriate data sources and define reporting requirements and workflows.
  • Design scalable processes and solutions to improve and automate reporting.
  • Collaborate with Data Visualisation Designers and Analysts to ensure data and reporting requirements are clearly defined for development.
  • Communicate analytical findings and insights to relevant stakeholders, incorporating feedback and refining outputs where required.
  • Support the development of efficient, repeatable and automated reporting processes.
  • Conduct detailed data analysis and investigation where required to identify issues, inconsistencies or opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain high standards of data integrity and ensure appropriate data governance processes are followed.
  • Keep up to date with developments in data analytics, reporting tools and methodologies.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the quality, efficiency and impact of data analysis and reporting across the function.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong proficiency in relevant data analysis and reporting tools, such as Excel, SQL, Python, R, Power BI or Tableau.
  • Proven experience collecting, cleaning, analysing and managing data from multiple sources.
  • Strong understanding of data and reporting workflows, process mapping and data analysis.
  • Experience conducting detailed data investigation or data forensics where required.
  • Comfortable working with both structured and unstructured datasets.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to define data requirements, reporting processes and automation opportunities.
  • Understanding of data visualisation principles and experience working with dashboard developers or data visualisation specialists.
  • Ability to communicate complex data and insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
