An international law firm is recruiting for an Associate Director, Marketing and Business Development (Corporate) to join their office in Jersey. This role involves developing and leading the execution of the business development and marketing strategy for corporate practice groups in Jersey, Guernsey, and London, with a focus on key cities, sectors, clients, and intermediaries.

The Responsibilities

  • Shape, plan, and deliver initiatives with high impact and return on investment.
  • Build strong working relationships with corporate partners, counsel, and associates.
  • Provide personalised support to ensure the achievement of team and personal BD plans, including research and development of target/prospect lists.
  • Identify market and sector developments through horizon scanning, leveraging client insights and internal/external data to propose growth initiatives.
  • Ensure BD strategies are driven by data-driven insights.
  • Collaborate with corporate partners to create a coordinated program of marketing trips and meetings with clients, intermediaries, and prospects.
  • Manage responses to RFPs, bank panels, and gather feedback on win/loss proposals.
  • Lead a team in identifying, researching, negotiating, and planning sponsorships and attendance at key industry events, ensuring maximum ROI and market impact.

The Candidate

  • Proven track record in business development within legal or professional services, with experience in developing profitable BD strategies.
  • Degree/Masters in a relevant field (e.g., law, financial services, marketing) and professional qualification preferred.
  • Strong strategic planning, commercial, analytical, and data literacy skills.
