Blue Legal is partnering with a respected law firm to recruit a Compliance & Office Manager. This is a broad and influential role, responsible for overseeing the firm's compliance framework, office operations and health & safety function. Working closely with senior leadership, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring regulatory compliance, operational efficiency and a positive working environment across the business.

Please note that candidates will only be considered if they have previous compliance experience within a law firm or legal environment.

  • Lead and manage the firm's compliance framework, ensuring adherence to SRA, AML, GDPR and other relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Develop, review and maintain compliance policies, procedures and risk controls, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring best practice is followed.
  • Conduct internal compliance audits, support external audits and maintain key compliance registers, including complaints, breaches and conflicts.
  • Oversee the day-to-day management of office operations, supplier relationships, facilities and business continuity planning.
  • Act as the firm's Health & Safety lead, maintaining policies, conducting risk assessments and coordinating training, emergency procedures and incident management.
  • Support data protection and information governance activities, including GDPR compliance, breach management and data governance processes.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business, providing practical advice and promoting a culture of compliance, accountability and continuous improvement.

Proven compliance experience within a law firm or legal environment, with strong knowledge of SRA regulations, AML and GDPR requirements. Proactive, commercially aware and solutions-focused, with experience supporting operational and office management activities within a professional services setting.

Due to the specific sectors we work in, only candidates with valid work experience in a Law Firm, Accountancy Firm, Management Consultancy, Property/Construction Firm, Financial Services Firm or a high profile relevant Association or Agency will be considered.
