Blue Legal is partnering with a leading UK law firm to recruit a Legal Administrator to join its Dispute Resolution team, primarily supporting the Family practice. Working closely with Partners, Fee Earners and Legal PAs, the successful candidate will provide high-quality administrative and operational support, helping to ensure matters are managed accurately and efficiently throughout their lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the opening and closing of client matters, including conflict checks, due diligence, client care documentation, file maintenance and archiving.
  • Maintain accurate matter records and documentation, ensuring files are saved and managed correctly across the firm's document management systems.
  • Use legal technology and internal systems to support document administration, data rooms, matter management and wider team requirements.
  • Provide finance and billing support, including preparing draft invoices, maintaining billing documentation and assisting with payments, transfers, expenses, disbursements and WIP administration.
  • Manage administrative tasks through team inboxes, ensuring work is prioritised appropriately and completed accurately within required deadlines.
  • Support day-to-day administration including e-filing, courier arrangements, printing, scanning, deeds management and document retrieval.
  • Work closely with Legal PAs, Fee Earners and the wider administrative team to maintain high service standards and identify opportunities to improve processes.

The Candidate:

  • Previous administrative experience within a legal or professional services environment, alongside strong academic skills, particularly in English and Maths.
  • Excellent IT, organisational and time management skills, with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate work to tight deadlines.
  • A confident and professional communicator with a positive work ethic, strong teamworking skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
