A leading law firm is recruiting for a Business Development Manager to join their team. This role will support the Corporate Department in driving strategic growth initiatives, strengthening market positioning, and enhancing client development activities across the firm. Working closely with partners, practice groups, and the wider Business Development function, the roleholder will play a key role in delivering targeted BD plans, profile-raising initiatives, and client engagement programmes.
- Develop and execute targeted business development strategies to increase market share, client engagement, and visibility.
- Improve the marketing capability of Practice lawyers by raising awareness of BD support, attending practice meetings, and contributing to divisional business plans.
- Enhance the department’s profile through PR, editorial, thought leadership, market research, conferences, newsletters, and seminars, working closely with Central BD, Marketing, and Communications teams.
- Produce high-quality pitch documents, credential statements, and marketing collateral including presentations, brochures, and client communications.
- Identify priority clients, intermediaries, and growth targets, developing tailored client development plans.
- Conduct market and competitive analysis to provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations, identifying opportunities and potential threats.
- Monitor and manage the Corporate Department BD budget, ensuring activities are delivered within budget and agreed timelines.
- Lead the coordination and delivery of events, directory submissions, and sector-focused BD initiatives.
- Strategic and creative thinker with strong commercial awareness and analytical capability.
