Blue Legal are partnering with a leading international law firm who are recruiting for a Business Development Senior Advisor on a 12 month FTC to support the Financial Regulation Group in London office. The role will involve assisting the partners and associates on the development and implementation of BD plans and marketing infrastructure, initiatives relating to client targeting, product specific business development and internal and external profile raising.
The ideal candidate will have practice experience.
The Responsibilities:
- Implement BD plans aligned with strategic business objectives for the relevant practice areas.
- Maintain core BD infrastructure, including events, credentials, client lists, communications, pitch materials, and collateral.
- Build strong internal networks and collaborate with BD teams across key practice groups and sectors.
- Drive improvements in processes, ensuring quality and consistency, particularly across the pitch process.
- Elevate the practice’s external profile through campaigns, thought leadership, PR, events, and digital presence.
- Support execution of targeting initiatives and BD activity.
- Manage legal directory and award submissions, and support internal communications and global BD coordination.
The Candidate:
- Proven experience in business development, ideally in a finance-oriented legal or professional services environment.
- Strong experience as a Senior Advisor or equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality RFPs/pitches, manage priorities effectively, and maintain strong attention to detail.
- Proactive and resilient with a collaborative approach, capable of mentoring junior team members and taking ownership of deliverables.
