Blue Legal is partnering with a leading international law firm to recruit a BD Advisor to support its Energy & Infrastructure practice. This opportunity is offered on an 18‑month fixed‑term contract and is ideal for a business development professional looking to join a high‑performing international team. Working closely with lawyers and colleagues across a global network, the successful candidate will support client growth initiatives, sector campaigns and strategic business development activity, while gaining exposure to high‑profile opportunities within one of the firm’s key practice areas.

The Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of business development and client growth strategies across the Energy & Infrastructure sector.
  • Assist with major pitches, panel appointments and strategic proposals, helping to secure new business opportunities.
  • Utilise market intelligence, research and data analysis to identify opportunities and support informed decision‑making.
  • Collaborate with lawyers, BD teams and international stakeholders to deliver integrated campaigns and cross‑selling initiatives.
  • Support the planning and execution of client events, sector initiatives and go‑to‑market activities.
  • Develop and maintain high‑quality marketing materials, credentials, presentations and sector insights.
  • Monitor market developments and contribute to strategic projects that enhance the firm’s profile and client relationships.

The Candidate

  • Previous business development experience within a professional services environment, with law firm experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting pitches, proposals, client development initiatives and strategic marketing activities.
  • Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams and jurisdictions.
