Blue Legal is partnering with a leading UK law firm to recruit an Events & Marketing Assistant to join its Marketing Operations team. This is an exciting opportunity for an organised and proactive professional to play a key role in the planning and delivery of high-quality client events, while also supporting wider marketing activity across the firm. Working closely with senior colleagues, you will help ensure the smooth execution of events and contribute to the efficient running of the Marketing & Business Development (MBD) function.

The Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and deliver a range of in-person and virtual events, primarily across the Bath and Bristol offices, ensuring seamless execution from planning through to post-event follow-up in line with internal processes and brand standards.
  • Manage all event administration including invitations, registrations, delegate communications, venue coordination, supplier liaison, attendee tracking, and on-the-day event support.
  • Maintain and update the CRM system to support event activity and marketing campaigns, including audience segmentation, mailing list generation, campaign monitoring, and timely e-communications.
  • Assist with the creation and production of event collateral and marketing materials, including invitations, presentations, signage, promotional assets, and follow-up communications, ensuring consistency with firm branding.
  • Support the administration of the firm’s corporate hospitality programme, helping coordinate client-facing experiences and relationship-building initiatives.
  • Assist with wider marketing operations including legal directory submissions, campaign administration, and general departmental support.
  • Manage stock levels and procurement of event materials, branded merchandise, and promotional resources.
  • Contribute ideas for improving event processes, attendee experience, and internal efficiencies across the wider MBD team.
  • Provide flexible support for occasional events outside of standard working hours or across alternative office locations when required.

The Candidate

  • Previous experience within an events-focused role, ideally with exposure to marketing, business development, or professional services environments.
  • Strong event coordination and administration skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities effectively.
  • Experience using CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and digital event/marketing platforms.
  • Excellent organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work collaboratively across teams and with external suppliers.
  • A positive, adaptable, and professional team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional events and marketing support.
