Construction Manager / Site Manager – Civil Project (Freelance) Location: Ipswich Start Date: 08/12/2025 Duration: 9–12 months We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Manager / Site Manager for a freelance role on a civil engineering project based in Ipswich. The project involves a combination of groundworks and reinforced concrete (RC) works. Key Responsibilities * Manage and lead the on-site team * Ensure all works are delivered in line with the construction programme * Update and maintain the 4-week look-ahead programme * Produce daily site diaries * Order, schedule, and manage plant and materials Requirements To be successful in this role, you must have: * Previous experience as a Project Engineer, Construction Manager, or Site Manager * Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage construction teams effectively * 5–10 years’ experience in groundworks and RC works * Proven ability to run a site in accordance with the programme * Experience updating project progress and 4-week look-ahead programmes * Experience ordering plant and materials * An engineering degree or equivalent qualification * Valid CSCS card and SMSTS certification * Valid First Aid certificate How to Apply If you are interested in this position, please get in touch and send your up-to-date CV.
