We are currently recruiting an experienced Freelance Site Engineer to join a well-established civil engineering contractor on a major long-term infrastructure project. Our client is recognised for successfully delivering technically demanding groundworks and reinforced concrete projects nationwide. They are looking to appoint an experienced Site Engineer with a solid background in large-scale infrastructure and civil packages.

The Role

As Site Engineer, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of a high-profile infrastructure project. The works involve extensive groundworks, reinforced concrete structures, and associated civil engineering elements within a technically demanding environment. You will be responsible for setting out, quality control, and supporting the site team to ensure works are delivered safely, accurately, and in line with programme requirements. This role will involve close coordination with site management, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Setting out for a range of civil engineering and concrete works
  • Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with design specifications
  • Maintaining high standards of quality assurance and documentation

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Site Engineer on civil engineering or infrastructure projects

  • Valid CSCS Card
  • Good understanding of health & safety regulations
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, technically challenging environment
