Veterinary Surgeon needed for award‑winning practice in Biddulph, Staffordshire.
Working hours: 20‑40 hours per week over 2 to 5 days, no out‑of‑hours (OOH) duties, 1 Saturday in 3 or 6 (8am‑1pm).
Salary range: £40,000‑£65,000 (based on 40‑hour FTE) plus up to £5,000 welcome bonus.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical care, including general medicine, surgery, imaging and consultant services.
- Manage appointments scheduled for 20 minutes standard, 40 minutes for euthanasia/complex cases.
- Participate in same‑day and emergency slots, follow up on cases, report results, and maintain accurate notes.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum: qualified veterinary surgeon.
- Experience of any level is valued; new graduates accepted.
- Prefer candidates with special skills, certificates, or preferences for surgery/imaging.
Working Conditions
- Flexible shift patterns (full days, short days, split shifts, early or late).
- No night checks, Sundays or bank holidays required.
- Saturday mornings on a rotational basis with reception staff.
