We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Blue House Vets on a part-time basis. Blue House Veterinary Centre is a long-established, single-site small animal practice based in Biddulph, Staffordshire. We pride ourselves on delivering high standards of clinical care and maintaining a strong reputation within the local community. Our friendly, close-knit team creates a welcoming and supportive environment where collaboration and positivity are at the heart of everything we do.
Our team consists of 6 Veterinary Surgeons, 5 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 1 Student Nurse, 5 Receptionists, and a Practice Manager. How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences. You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice. This is a part-time role averaging 25 hours per week, typically across 2 full days and 1 half day. There is a 1 in 3 Saturday rota (8:00am-1:00pm), with no out-of-hours or on-call requirements, allowing for a strong work-life balance. You will be involved in a range of general nursing duties including inpatient care, nurse consultations, and assisting in theatre and diagnostic procedures.
General responsibilities include:
- Deliver high standards of nursing care across a varied first opinion caseload
- Support surgical procedures, including anaesthesia monitoring and theatre nursing
- Provide excellent inpatient care and support patient recovery
- Run nurse consultations and contribute to client education and preventative care
