You’re not short on leadership.
You’re short on a building that’s truly yours.
The best hospitality managers we meet aren’t held back by ability. They can turn a team into a family, transform a space into an experience, run a P&L like it’s their own business. But quietly, they know they’re capable of more than their current four walls allow. If you read that and felt something, keep reading. This is the building that becomes yours.
WHO WE ARE
Blue Gem operates some of London’s most premium workspaces. We design, build and run beautiful, hospitality-led buildings where the UK’s most discerning companies choose to work. Our standards are uncompromising. Our brand is built on detail. We’re growing fast, and we’re opening new buildings.
THE OPPORTUNITY
A genuine ownership role running one of our flagship Central London centres. This isn’t a viewings clerk position or an admin job with a fancy title. This is real leadership, real ownership, and a clear path to Operations Director for someone who proves themselves. You’ll run the building. The team, the standards, the community, the commercial performance — all of it. We’ll teach you our way, but we’re hiring you for who you already are: someone who genuinely loves working with people and knows how to build something special.
WHAT YOU’LL OWN
- The building, its standards, and its reputation — completely yours to run.
- Leading and developing the on-site team through 1-2-1s, performance management, and development plans.
- The site P&L and budget — understanding every line and owning the commercial performance.
- Creating and maintaining 5-star hotel standards throughout the centre.
- Building genuine community among clients and making the space come alive.
- Events, occupancy, and team performance targets from month three.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We hire on character first. The operational craft can be taught; your ability to inspire a team and create community cannot. We need someone who lights up a room just by caring about the people in it.
- A natural people-person who genuinely loves building teams and communities.
- Leadership experience in hospitality or similar environments — you’ve run teams before.
- Mature and reliable, someone who takes feedback and acts on it because they care.
- Standards-obsessed — you see what others miss and fix it before anyone notices.
- Commercial mindset — you understand what drives success and can read a P&L.
- An analytical problem-solver who spots issues early and finds lasting solutions.
And three things we can’t train:
- Positive Attitude. Positively responsive, we serve attentively, and always with a smile.
- Problem Solving. Genuinely thoughtful, we look at every problem from the client’s point of view.
- Above and Beyond. Devoted to deliver, we take ownership, responsibility, and are empowered to make decisions.
WHY AMBITIOUS PEOPLE JOIN US
- Real ownership from day one. This building becomes yours to run, not just manage.
- A clear progression path. Centre Manager to Operations Manager, with a genuine shot at Operations Director in 2-3 years.
- Leadership that backs you. We promote from within — 30% of our roles are filled by internal promotion.
- A business that invests in its people. Development programmes that move at your pace, not ours.
WHERE THIS ROLE GOES
You’ll report to the Operations Director and work from Dawson House initially, with movement between sites with demand and as the business grows. The progression is clear and proven: Centre Manager to Operations Manager, and for the right person, Operations Director within 2-3 years. This isn’t a promise — it’s a pattern. Our leaders built their careers here.
THIS COULD BE YOUR STORY
Real progression. Real leadership. Real opportunity.
We back ambitious people, and we back it with a real route up. Our leaders built their careers here, rising fast on character and performance, not where they came from. Indre Vasiliauskaite, Operations Director and Board Director. From a client-facing role to Head of Operations in three years, then the Board. Richard Matthews, Commercial Director and Board Director. From Financial Analyst to Board Director in four years. Gurmeet Josen, Financial Controller and Board Director. To Board Director within two years of joining. Start here. Perform. Rise fast.
THE PROOF
- 98% portfolio occupancy maintained
