We are currently seeking an experienced LV SAP to support a major data centre project in Slough on a contract basis.
Role Overview: The LV SAP will be responsible for the safe management, control, and execution of low-voltage electrical operations on a live data centre environment, ensuring full compliance with safety rules and project procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the appointed LV Senior Authorised Person for the project
- Control and issue electrical permits, isolations, and switching schedules
- Ensure compliance with site safety rules, RAMS, and data centre standards
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors
- Oversee LV electrical works in a live/critical environment
- Maintain accurate documentation and records
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an LV SAP (data centre experience preferred)
- Strong knowledge of LV systems, isolations, and permit-to-work processes
- Relevant electrical qualifications (NVQ / City & Guilds or equivalent)
- ECS / CSCS card
- Ability to work in a high-risk, mission-critical environment
- Excellent communication and safety leadership skills
