We are seeking an experienced Electrical Quality Lead to take ownership of electrical quality assurance and quality control on a large-scale data centre project in Berkshire. This is a senior, site-based role responsible for ensuring all electrical works are delivered in full compliance with project specifications, UK regulations, client standards, and commissioning requirements typical of mission-critical environments.
The successful candidate will play a key role in driving a “right-first-time” culture across contractors and suppliers, supporting programme certainty and flawless handover.
Key Responsibilities- Lead all electrical QA/QC activities across the project lifecycle, from installation through testing, commissioning, and handover
- Develop, implement, and manage Electrical Quality Plans, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and check sheets
- Ensure compliance with:
- Project specifications and drawings
- BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations)
- Relevant British Standards, IEC standards, and statutory requirements
- Method statements and risk assessments (RAMS)
- Technical submittals and material approvals
- Proven experience in a senior electrical quality role on data centre or mission-critical projects
- Strong background in LV & HV systems
- Recognised Electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND, or equivalent)
- ECS / CSCS (Black or Gold Card preferred)
- Relevant QA/QC or inspection certifications advantageous
- SMSTS or equivalent desirable but not essential
- £90,000 per annum basic salary + benefits
