A leading MEP contractor has an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Planning Manager to join one of the most prestigious infrastructure projects ever delivered in Scotland. This landmark government-funded development represents one of the largest and most technically complex MEP schemes currently under construction in the UK, with an MEP value exceeding £200 million.
The successful candidate will take ownership of the planning function across the project, leading a medium-sized planning team while working closely with senior project leadership, delivery teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage all project planning activities across a major MEP package
- Develop, maintain, and oversee fully integrated construction programmes
- Manage and mentor a team of planners
- Drive programme performance, reporting, risk analysis, and progress tracking
- Work closely with operational teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Provide strategic planning support to senior management and client stakeholders
- Proven experience as a Planning Manager on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects
- Strong MEP background essential
- Electrical bias preferred, although strong MEP candidates will also be considered
- Advanced Primavera P6 expertise is essential
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Experience managing complex programmes on high-value projects
