We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to lead the successful delivery of infrastructure and complex engineering projects across the South of the UK. Working as part of the senior leadership team, you will manage multidisciplinary project teams and take responsibility for the safe, timely, and commercially successful delivery of multiple projects. This is a client-facing position requiring strong leadership, stakeholder management, and programme delivery experience. The role offers involvement throughout the full project lifecycle, from design and procurement through construction, commissioning, and handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of multiple infrastructure and engineering projects.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Act as the primary client contact and Contractor's Representative.
- Manage project programmes, risks, opportunities, and resources.
- Oversee procurement activities and subcontractor management.
- Monitor commercial performance, project cashflow, and reporting.
- Drive a strong health, safety, and environmental culture across all sites.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, stakeholders, suppliers, and project teams.
- Support recruitment, mentoring, and development of project personnel.
- Contribute to tendering and pre-construction activities where required.
- Promote continuous improvement and best practice throughout project delivery.
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years' experience in a Contracts Manager or senior project delivery role.
- Proven track record delivering infrastructure, utilities, industrial, energy, civil engineering, or other complex projects.
- Strong understanding of construction health and safety regulations and best practice.
- Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and multiple workstreams.
- Strong commercial and contractual management skills.
- Proficiency with project planning software such as Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P6.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Full UK driving licence.
